They are seeking a Sanctions Compliance Analyst to strengthen the company’s sanctions compliance program by supporting sanctions screening, reporting, and issue resolution while ensuring alignment with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Reviews new, revised, and pending sanctions notices, determines their applicability to GEICO, and recommends changes needed to support compliance
- Evaluates processes, procedures, systems, and communications to identify compliance gaps and recommends enhancements to strengthen sanctions controls
- Presents investigative findings, risk insights, and recommendations to management
- Implements and monitors changes to processes, procedures, sanctions screening systems, and communications, and re-evaluates outcomes to confirm risks have been mitigated
- Advises on the sanctions compliance implications of proposed processes, procedures, and business activities
- Supports communications and interactions with OFAC and other regulatory stakeholders, as needed
- Researches federal laws and regulatory developments to identify relevant compliance issues and communicates key impacts to senior leadership
- Prepares and delivers executive-level sanctions briefings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work effectively under tight timelines
- Ability to work across the compliance organization and collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the company
