<p><b>Role: SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Senior Consultant / Architect </b> </p><p><b>Location: </b> London, Birmingham, or Manchester </p><p><b>Function: </b> SAP HCM / Cloud Payroll Transformation </p><p><b>Industry: </b> Consulting / Technology </p><p><b>About the Client </b> </p><p>Our client is a global professional services organisation delivering complex digital and cloud transformation programmes across enterprise and public sector environments. </p><p>Their SAP SuccessFactors practice leads large-scale HR and payroll transformations, with particular strength in highly regulated and complex payroll environments. </p><p><b>About the Role </b> </p><p>This is a Manager-level role focused specifically on Employee Central Payroll (ECP). </p><p>You will operate as the functional authority on payroll transformation programmes, leading the design and delivery of UK payroll solutions within large enterprise environments. </p><p>This is not a configuration-only position. You will own payroll workstreams end to end, influence senior stakeholders, manage delivery risk, and ensure compliance across the full lifecycle. </p><p><b>What You’ll Be Doing </b> </p><ul><li>Leading the design and implementation of SAP Employee Central Payroll solutions. </li><li>Advising clients on payroll operating models, compliance, and transformation strategy. </li><li>Configuring payroll schemas, wage types, rules, pay statements, and calendars. </li><li>Overseeing Payroll Control Center (PCC) configuration and parallel run testing. </li><li>Managing integrations with Employee Central, Time Tracking, Finance, and third-party systems such as HMRC. </li><li>Running workshops and design authority sessions with senior stakeholders. </li><li>Leading data migration, testing strategy, and cutover planning for payroll go-lives. </li><li>Coaching and mentoring consultants within the payroll stream. </li><li>Ensuring delivery quality, risk management, and adherence to programme governance standards. </li><li>Supporting pre-sales activity and contributing to practice growth. </li> </ul><p>This role carries significant accountability. Payroll delivery errors carry financial and regulatory risk. You will be expected to operate with authority and control. </p><p><b>Ideal Background </b> </p><ul><li>Deep functional expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll with full lifecycle implementation experience. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions auto-enrolment, and statutory/occupational absence processes. </li><li>Experience with Payroll Control Center and complex parallel run testing. </li><li>Strong understanding of Time & Attendance, Finance integrations, and third-party vendor connections. </li><li>Demonstrated experience leading payroll workstreams or small teams. </li><li>Ability to challenge stakeholders and drive structured, compliant solutions. </li><li>SAP Employee Central Payroll certification is essential. Additional SuccessFactors certifications are advantageous. </li> </ul><p>Big 4 or Tier 1 consulting experience is beneficial but not mandatory. </p><p><b>What You’ll Receive </b> </p><ul><li>London salary up to £90,000. </li><li>Outside London up to £84,000 to £85,000, with potential flexibility for strong profiles. </li><li>Car allowance of £5,750 at Manager level. </li><li>30 days annual leave plus bank holidays. </li><li>Private medical insurance. </li><li>Three additional charitable leave days per year. </li><li>Clear progression pathway toward Senior Manager. </li> </ul><p>Hybrid working is available, with client-site presence required depending on programme needs. </p><p><b>Who Should Apply </b> </p><p>This role suits a payroll specialist who has moved beyond execution and now leads payroll design and delivery within complex transformation programmes. </p><p>If you are already accountable for payroll workstreams, confident in UK legislation, and capable of owning stakeholder conversations at senior level, this aligns directly. </p> Salary: GBP 84000 - 90000 per year
