About the position The Scheduling Coordinator I works with our network of interpreters to schedule and dispatch interpreters for in-person, video, and telephone interpretation jobs. Responsibilities • Manage a team of skilled interpreters, maintaining their schedules, ensuring their readiness for assignments, and supporting them throughout the process. • Efficiently assign interpreters to appointments based on their expertise, location, and availability while juggling time-sensitive demands. • Liaise with clients to understand their language service needs and ensure a smooth interpretation process, while providing exceptional customer service. • Tackle logistical challenges head-on, adapting to last-minute changes and ensuring that all parties are well-informed and comfortable with the revised arrangements. • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas for process optimization and contribute to the enhancement of our interpreter coordination and dispatch systems. Requirements • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with interpreters, clients, and internal teams. • Adaptability and composure under pressure, ensuring a high level of professionalism in all situations. • A passion for languages, cross-cultural understanding, and an eagerness to make a positive impact. Nice-to-haves • Previous experience in interpreter coordination, dispatch, or related fields is a plus, but not mandatory for candidates with the right attitude and aptitude.
