About the Firm
We are a growing and forward-thinking UK accountancy practice with a strong presence in Bristol. As part of our continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our team with a South Africa-based Accounts Semi-Senior to support our UK operations.
You will be working closely with our Accounts & Tax Manager and wider Bristol team, supporting a portfolio of owner-managed businesses in a modern, cloud-based environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on position focused on the preparation of year-end accounts for small UK limited companies. The role is well-suited to someone with solid foundational experience who is looking to further develop within a UK practice environment.
The work will primarily involve smaller sets of accounts, all of which will be reviewed, making this an ideal opportunity for someone at a junior to semi-senior level.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for small UK limited companies
Working in accordance with FRS 102 (Section 1A)
Posting year-end journals and adjustments within Xero
Assisting with working papers and file preparation for review
Supporting the Accounts & Tax Manager with client deliverables
Liaising with the UK team to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Requirements
Experience preparing accounts for UK limited companies
Good understanding of FRS 102 (Section 1A)
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Comfortable working remotely as part of a UK-based team
Desirable (Not Essential)
Exposure to UK corporation tax
Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
Experience using Xero (highly beneficial)
