Our client, a dynamic educational technology company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Curriculum Developer specializing in STEM education to join their team in **Raleigh, North Carolina, US**. This critical role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative and engaging curriculum for K-12 students across various STEM disciplines. You will lead curriculum design initiatives, collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional designers to create high-quality learning materials that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in STEM pedagogy, instructional design principles, and experience developing digital learning content.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of engaging and standards-aligned STEM curriculum for K-12 levels. Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and educators to create comprehensive learning resources. Develop learning objectives, instructional strategies, assessments, and multimedia content. Ensure curriculum content is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively addresses diverse learning needs. Oversee the creation of digital learning materials, including interactive modules, videos, and simulations. Conduct thorough reviews of curriculum materials for quality, accuracy, and pedagogical soundness. Manage curriculum development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Stay current with educational research, best practices, and technological advancements in STEM education. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior curriculum developers. Contribute to the overall vision and strategy for the company's educational offerings.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, STEM field, or a related discipline. Minimum of 6 years of experience in curriculum development, with a strong focus on K-12 STEM education. Demonstrated expertise in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). Proven experience developing digital learning content and utilizing educational technology tools. Deep understanding of K-12 science and mathematics standards (e.g., NGSS, Common Core). Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Experience working with diverse student populations and promoting equity in education. Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and content authoring tools. Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
