Overview
BridgeEd is seeking a Senior Developer / Technical Lead to lead the development of a complex, enterprise-grade K–12 platform. This role is responsible for owning system execution, leading an offshore development team, and ensuring the platform is built to high standards of performance, scalability, accessibility, and educational alignment.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively within academic environments and stakeholder structures. Up to $25,000 performance bonus tied to achievement of defined implementation milestones, including core system delivery, pilot success, and district rollout readiness.
Duties
• Technical Leadership & Development
• Lead development of a Laravel-based (PHP) platform
Offshore Team Coordination
• Manage and coordinate an offshore development team
• Assign tasks, review code, and maintain sprint alignment
Front-End & Accessibility Oversight
• Oversee development of dashboards and user interfaces
• Ensure alignment with UX/UI specifications
• Lead implementation of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
System Integration
• Oversee integrations with:
• Student Information Systems (SIS)
• Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Client Communication & Reporting
• Participate in client-facing updates with district stakeholders
• Provide weekly written progress reports
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
System Stability & Support
• Resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges
• Support system reliability during pilot and rollout phases
• Translate architecture and product requirements into scalable systems
• Ensure performance, security, and maintainability
Experience
• Strong experience in PHP and Laravel development
• Proven experience leading complex system builds
• Experience managing offshore/distributed teams
• Demonstrated experience with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance
• Strong front-end integration experience
• Experience with API integrations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
• Experience working in academic environments (K–12, higher education, or EdTech platforms strongly preferred)

Pay: $140,000.00 per year
