For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Data Governance & Privacy Operations (grc) | Technology | Remote to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will partner with field leadership, customer-facing teams, and support functions to improve performance, solve operating challenges, and maintain accountability.
The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, team development, and measurable outcomes in an execution-focused environment within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually
Responsibilities
• Partner with stakeholders to integrate GRC and operational standards in various agreements
• Support technology transformation initiatives across segments, engaging with legal and clients
• Monitor and assess adherence to data protection and AI regulations, operationalizing them into workflows
• Provide compliance guidance and effectively communicate risk assessments to the business
• Ensure compliance of technology initiatives with regulations and industry standards
• Coordinate audits and assessments to support privacy by design and operational accountability
• Develop negotiation playbooks and standardized templates to streamline operations
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, law or public policy
• 5 years of experience in data governance, privacy, or AI governance
• 15+ years of total applicable work experience including 10 years in IT/security/operational risk management in enterprise environments
• Expert knowledge of data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their application in tech environments
• Certifications: CIPP, AIGP, CRP, CRISC, CRCM preferred
