Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm in Fort Worth, Texas, US , is seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Controller to oversee their financial operations. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and providing critical financial insights to support business decision-making. This is a hybrid role, offering a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Responsibilities include:
Overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting. Developing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP. Preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders. Managing the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Leading the annual audit process with external auditors. Implementing and improving accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Analyzing financial performance, identifying key trends, and providing strategic recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and preparing necessary tax filings. Managing and developing the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Evaluating and implementing financial software solutions. Monitoring cash flow and managing banking relationships. Staying abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a CPA designation is strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, is essential. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks is mandatory. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel skills are required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary. The ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and manage multiple priorities is key.
