Position Overview
LSI is seeking a highly connected and experienced Senior Government Logistics Engagement Advisor to support its engagement efforts within the Tinker Air Force Base community. This role is designed for a senior professional with deep familiarity and established relationships across System Program Offices (SPOs), supply chain organizations, and related government support functions.
The Advisor will help LSI better understand organizational priorities, timelines, acquisition considerations, and operational dynamics within the Air Force logistics environment. This position focuses on advising, facilitating introductions, improving alignment, and helping LSI effectively navigate the government landscape.
This is not a traditional sales role. The ideal candidate brings credibility, insight, and trusted relationships developed through years of experience supporting Air Force logistics, acquisition, depot operations, or government-industry collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Government Engagement & Strategic Insight
Maintain and strengthen relationships across SPOs, supply chain, logistics, and supporting organizations within Tinker Air Force Base
Provide insight into organizational structure, operational priorities, and decision-making processes
Help LSI understand procedural expectations, engagement timing, and government coordination requirements
Advise leadership on how work is executed across acquisition and sustainment environments
Access & Coordination
Facilitate introductions, meetings, and site visits between LSI personnel, clients, and appropriate government stakeholders
Help ensure interactions align with government protocols, expectations, and professional standards
Advise on the most effective communication and coordination pathways within the base environment
Opportunity Awareness & Alignment
Provide early awareness of emerging initiatives, priorities, and areas where LSI capabilities may align
Help interpret acquisition approaches, timelines, and requirements based on prior experience
Support alignment between government needs and LSI/client capabilities
Advisory Support to Leadership
Provide strategic perspective and operational context to LSI leadership and business development teams
Contribute insight during planning discussions, capability positioning, and proposal support activities as needed
Help ensure LSI approaches engagements with a strong understanding of the local operating environment
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with or within Tinker Air Force Base, particularly supporting SPOs and/or supply chain organizations
Strong understanding of the Air Force acquisition environment and depot-level operations
Established professional network across relevant Tinker organizations
Ability to navigate both formal government processes and informal organizational dynamics
Eligibility for a SECRET security clearance
Preferred Background
Prior military or civilian service supporting Air Force logistics, sustainment, or acquisition efforts
Experience at the GS-12 to GS-14, O-5 to O-6, or equivalent level preferred
Experience working alongside contractors or supporting government-industry collaboration
Familiarity with proposal development, requirements generation, or acquisition planning processes
Work Arrangement & Compensation
1099 independent contractor role
Flexible schedule averaging 10–20 hours per month
Additional hours may occasionally be requested based on engagement needs and will be coordinated in advance
Compensation range: $85–$120 per hour, depending on experience, expertise, and network strength

The ideal candidate is a respected former military or civilian leader with extensive experience supporting Air Force logistics, acquisition, sustainment, or depot operations. They are trusted within the local community, understand how organizations operate in practice, and can help bridge communication and coordination between government stakeholders and industry partners.
