Senior HRIS Analyst – Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll

Job Description: • Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll functionality, configuration, and best practices. • Design, configure, and maintain absence plans, accruals, time entry codes, time calculations, work schedules, and related business processes. • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate gross‑to‑net outcomes, compliance with federal/state/local regulations, and seamless end‑to‑end processing. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to time entry, time approvals, accrual calculations, leave eligibility, and payroll results. • Support annual and cyclical processes such as year‑end payroll, PTO resets, and policy updates. • Analyze system impacts of policy changes and recommend scalable configuration solutions. • Collaborate with Operations and HR to optimize workforce timekeeping practices and ensure accurate labor reporting. • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports. • Provide post-production support across Workday HCM modules. • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred) • Hospitality industry experience a strong plus • Expert-level hands-on experience configuring Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel • Solid understanding of core HR business processes and interdependencies with Payroll, IT, and Finance • Prior experience with Workday acquisitions, data loads, and configuration a plus • Willingness to travel occasionally to company properties.
