The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Information Engineer to join our dynamic remote team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using industry-leading tools and technologies
- Architect and implement database schemas, tables, and views optimized for performance and scalability
- Create and monitor batch processes using Apache Airflow for various data engineering initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Studios and Enterprise Technology to gather data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
- Develop and implement data validation scripts and processes to ensure data quality and integrity
- Deploy data solutions across multiple environments including Development, QA/UAT, and Production
- Utilize a diverse technology stack including SQL, Python, Docker, GitLab, Airflow, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL
- Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks
- Document data architectures, processes, and procedures for knowledge transfer and maintenance
- Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and methodologies
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Engineering role
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
- 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
- Strong knowledge of relational database design, implementation, and optimization
- 2+ years of experience using GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaboration
- 2+ years of experience using Docker for containerization and deployment
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Apache Airflow, Databricks, and related orchestration tools
- Experience with Snowflake, Looker, and related analytics and visualization platforms
- Experience in streaming, media, or digital marketing industries
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data engineering technologies
- Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks
