Senior IT Director - 3PL Fulfillment Technology (Remote)

Job Description As member of the Product & Technology leadership team, the Senior IT Director - 3PL Fulfillment Technology is responsible for the planning, execution and customer experience for our product and service offerings on our consumer and business platforms, with focus on driving increased transactions, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and achievement of corporate objectives. Proven experience leading a technology or product organization, with demonstrated success managing e-commerce business initiatives from conception to implementation to delivery with quantifiable results is required. In this position, you will develop and implement a strategic roadmap for our product and service offerings that outlines key functional capabilities to be invested and pursued that maximize sales and customer experience. Working cross functionally in a matrix team environment with IT, digital marketing, and our global platforms leadership team to deliver and share results. Primary Responsibilities • Designs, develop and implements the strategic roadmap for our product and service offerings that outlines key functional capabilities to be invested and pursued that maximize sales and customer experience • Delivers an optimal customer experience across our multiple platforms by partnering cross-functionally with our UX, eCommerce, Marketing, IT and Merchandising teams • Owns the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive increased transactions and sales across our multiple platforms • Responsible for building, developing and growing team, inclusive but not limited to interview and selection, coaching, performance management and development planning • Interacts internally with executive level management requiring negotiation of significant matters to identify key issues and relationships relevant to cost estimates for current and proposed projects impacting our platforms Education & Experience • Level of Formal Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, advanced degrees are preferred • Area of Study: Information Systems, Computer Science, eCommerce or business related field • Years of Experience: Minimum of 15 years of related experience is required • Type of Experience: • Also required is 10 years in a managerial role, 10+ years of experience in eMarketing, eMerchandising and Information Technology field and leading/managing eCommerce team • Retail eCommerce experience a plus • Preferred experience with Fulfillment Technologies like Pipe 17 and/or Logiwa • Skills and Abilities: A solid command of these skills will allow you to be successful in this role: • Analytical Skills: demands superior analytical skills; must be analytically capable of refining strategic, technical roadmaps and synthesizing to make improvements and recommendations. Relies on scientific findings in decision making, establishes relevant KPIs and routinely tracks them. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; regularly required to make presentations to stakeholders, and must clearly present, articulate, and defend research findings, design decisions, and formulated strategies to the stakeholders in a way that they can relate to and easily understand. • Interpersonal/People Skills: ability to facilitate smooth collaboration and relations necessary to be successful in this role; not troubled by complications, disagreements, and unnecessary delays. Ability to build trust among team members and convince people to follow him/her. Effective presentation skills. Exceptional relationship building skills required • Leadership Qualities: Ability to continuously drive results, display a high level of confidence not just in self but in other people as well, inspire and motivate team performance. Demonstrate an ability to navigate complex situations and tasks with calmness and composure, setting an example for others. Ability to identify, attract, and develop team talent. • Experience with, functionality delivery from concept to deployment, as well as leveraging mobile, social, and other rich media applications to build web solutions that delight customers.
