About the Role Our client, a premier event production company in Washington, D.C. , is seeking an experienced Senior Producer to oversee the planning and execution of large-scale live entertainment events. This role is crucial for managing all aspects of event production, from concept development and budgeting to on-site management and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in producing diverse events, including concerts, festivals, corporate functions, and cultural gatherings. Based in our Washington, D.C. office, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure seamless delivery of exceptional event experiences. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive professional with strong leadership and negotiation skills. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage projects remotely while maintaining essential on-site presence for critical planning and execution phases in the vibrant capital region. Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end production of live entertainment events, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Develop comprehensive event plans, including logistics, scheduling, staffing, technical requirements, and vendor management. Manage client communications, build strong relationships, and ensure client satisfaction. Lead and motivate production teams, including technical staff, event coordinators, and freelancers. Source, negotiate with, and manage contracts for vendors, talent, and suppliers. Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. Oversee on-site event execution, troubleshooting issues as they arise and ensuring smooth operations. Conduct post-event evaluations, gather feedback, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event production. Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, and legal regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in producing live entertainment events, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful large-scale productions. Proven experience in managing complex budgets and negotiating contracts. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required for the role.
