Senior Research Director, Analyst – Cybersecurity Strategy

Job Description: • Serve as an authority on cybersecurity strategy for CIOs in high-risk industries • Deliver research and recommendations on cybersecurity governance, risk management frameworks, and advanced cybersecurity technologies • Analyze industry trends, threat intelligence, and technology disruptions to forecast future risks • Present cybersecurity research and thought leadership in 1-to-1 conversations and at Gartner events • Support clients in evaluating and selecting cybersecurity vendors and solutions • Collaborate with other Gartner Analysts to develop comprehensive, actionable research on cybersecurity priorities Requirements: • 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity leadership roles • At least 3 years in a technology leadership role • Proven track record advising CIOs and C-suite executives on cybersecurity strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements for high-risk industries • Experience with vendor selection and technology evaluation for cybersecurity solutions • Exceptional communication skills • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus • Confident presenter, able to engage audiences from one-on-one executive briefings to large-scale conferences • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize technology, business, and threat trends to identify patterns and deliver clear, actionable recommendations • Collaborative team player who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment Benefits: • Generous PTO • 401k match up to $7,200 per year • Opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount • Annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan • Flexible work arrangements
