Senior Sales Professional – Laser Systems & Photonic Solutions

Join a global leader in advanced photonic technologies supporting cutting-edge research and industrial innovation. This role focuses on selling high-performance laser systems into scientific, government, and advanced technical environments.
The Role
This is a senior individual contributor position responsible for owning and growing strategic customer relationships across a defined territory. You will drive complex, consultative sales cycles with researchers, engineers, and technical stakeholders across:
• Universities and research institutions
• National laboratories and government organizations
• Advanced manufacturing and semiconductor environments
Travel is expected to exceed 50%.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and develop a strong sales pipeline focused on high-performance laser systems (ultrafast, fiber, and specialty lasers)
• Own territory strategy and key account development
• Lead customer engagements including site visits, technical discussions, and system demonstrations
• Translate customer applications and research goals into tailored technical solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle: opportunity development, proposals, negotiations, and forecasting
• Own and grow existing customer relationships while expanding new opportunities within your territory, with the expectation of stepping in and driving revenue immediately
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and global sales teams
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and technical events
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience directly selling laser systems into scientific, research, or advanced technical environments
• Proven track record of managing and growing end-user accounts
• Experience selling into research, government, or advanced technical environments
• Strong technical foundation (Physics, Optics/Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or similar)
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers, scientists, and technical decision-makers
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
