Sexual Harassment Prevention Trainer (Consultant/Contract)

Sexual Harassment Prevention Trainer (Consultant/Contract) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Corporate Trainer to design and deliver a comprehensive, interactive Sexual Harassment Prevention Training program for our employees. As a mid-size financial firm, we prioritize a culture of excellence, respect, and absolute compliance. The training will be delivered online to all staff, including senior leadership and investment professionals. Key Responsibilities • Customized Delivery: Facilitate engaging, live virtual training sessions tailored to the high-stakes environment of a US Hedge Fund/Finance firm. • Compliance Alignment: Ensure all content meets or exceeds federal (EEOC) and state-specific mandates (including New York State/NYC, California SB1343, and Connecticut requirements where applicable). • Tiered Training: Deliver distinct modules for: • Nonsupervisory Staff: Focusing on definitions, bystander intervention, and reporting. • Supervisory/Management: Focusing on liability, proactive prevention, and legal obligations in handling complaints. • Industry Context: Use relevant, finance-industry case studies (e.g., office conduct, client entertainment, off-site events, and "bro-culture" mitigation). • Interactive Assessment: Incorporate real-time Q&A, knowledge checks, and interactive scenarios to satisfy "interactive training" legal definitions. Required Qualifications & Skills • Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate HR compliance or legal training, specifically within the Financial Services, Private Equity, or Hedge Fund sectors. • Subject Matter Expertise: Deep understanding of Title VII, the MeToo movement’s impact on corporate law, and specific state-level training mandates. • Virtual Mastery: Proven ability to command a room via Zoom/Teams/Webex, ensuring high engagement even in a remote format. • Tone: Ability to strike the right balance between "legal compliance" and "cultural values"—avoiding "eye-roll" content in favor of sophisticated, practical advice. Project Details • Format: 100% Online / Remote. • Timeline: Will share the details shortly. • Audience Size: Mid Size Company. • Deliverables: Training sessions, attendance logs (for compliance audits), and a summary report of participant engagement/feedback. Submission Requirement: Training Curriculum We require all applicants to submit a detailed Training Curriculum for review. The curriculum must outline the following: • Module Breakdown: A clear syllabus of topics covered (e.g., Identifying Harassment, Quid Pro Quo vs. Hostile Work Environment, Retaliation). • Interactive Elements: Specific examples of case studies, polls, or breakout scenarios relevant to the Finance/Hedge Fund sector. • State Compliance Map: A brief checklist showing how the curriculum meets specific state mandates (e.g., NYS/NYC or California requirements). • Duration: A breakdown of the session timing (e.g., 60 minutes for employees / 120 minutes for managers).
