About the Role This is a staff-level backend role for an engineer who can shape architecture, ship complex features, and raise the technical bar on a platform that directly powers the company’s mobile applications and browser extension. The mandate combines hands-on execution with technical leadership: improving the underlying systems, partnering closely with product and design, and helping the broader engineering organization maintain a high standard for performance, security, and user experience. Key Responsibilities • Drive technical decisions and architectural improvements across the backend platform supporting the mobile apps and browser extension. • Implement complex features with a strong focus on performance, security, and product quality. • Mentor and guide other engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence. • Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to deliver polished, user-centric experiences. Core Requirements • Strong proficiency in Go. • Meaningful interest in — and ideally experience with — Ethereum, Web3, NFTs, DeFi, and their underlying systems. • Experience building and supporting robust, secure, and scalable backend applications. • Deep knowledge of systems design and API design. • A security-conscious development mindset. Bonus Skills • Experience with AWS (including CloudFront, EKS, MSK, and SQS), Kubernetes, Kafka, Postgres, and Redis. • Familiarity with TypeScript, GraphQL, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD. Interview Process • Initial conversation with a finance or business leader. • GitHub review by the engineering team. • Three technical interviews (45–60 minutes each) covering different technical topics.
