POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Position Overview: In this role, you will provide critical logistical and operational support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the immigration processing and custodial facility. You will assist leadership and operational staff with supply chain management, facility coordination, transportation scheduling, and inventory tracking. This position is essential for maintaining a secure and functional environment, supporting facility compliance, and facilitating the smooth movement of goods, equipment, and personnel across departments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing logistical challenges in a fast-paced and secure environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive logistical support to facility leadership and staff, ensuring seamless daily operations.
• Oversee the procurement, organization, and distribution of essential facility supplies, including hygiene products, bedding, food service items, and custodial equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and digital logs of inventory levels, equipment maintenance schedules, and supply orders in accordance with established policies.
• Perform data entry to track the movement of facility assets and ensure the accuracy of operational data.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and internal departments to schedule and receive supply deliveries.
• Support cross-departmental communication to ensure a smooth workflow between security, medical, and administrative teams.
• Ensure that all logistical operations comply with safety regulations, facility protocols, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Assist with the issuing, tracking, and collection of uniforms, radios, and other operational equipment for staff.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding facility layout, supply routes, and operational vulnerabilities.
• Prepare logistical reports, expenditure tracking, and documentation on facility supply levels and operational demands as required.
• Respond to logistics-related inquiries and assist in resolving supply chain or scheduling discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant logistics experience.
• Must possess logistics experience within military, law enforcement, or detention/corrections setting.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook email, Word and Excel.
• Ability to use sound judgement and perform job duties with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization.
• If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.
• Must consent to fingerprinting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.
• Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.
• Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
Physical Requirements:
Employees may be required to remain in a stationary position, stand, push, pull, climb, kneel, crawl, balance, squat, bend, and reach. Employees may also be required to use gear to move items around, including, but not limited to, carts and dollies. Employees may also be occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds.
