SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - US CITIZENS with Active Public Trust ONLY

ONLY US CITIZENS with Active Public Trust Clearance FULLY REMOTE Seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support enterprise endpoint management, infrastructure administration, and modernization initiatives within a federal government environment. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), operating system deployments, patch management, endpoint security, application lifecycle management, and enterprise modernization efforts. The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on experience administering large-scale endpoint environments, supporting Windows enterprise infrastructure, implementing security and compliance requirements, and collaborating with government stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, and technical engineering staff to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable IT operations. Key Responsibilities Endpoint Management & Systems Administration • Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) infrastructure. • Support site server administration, operating system upgrades, SQL upgrades, domain migrations, and outage recovery activities. • Monitor system health, operational availability, and infrastructure performance across enterprise environments. • Perform configuration management, maintenance activities, and disaster recovery support. • Administer and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments. Application Lifecycle Management • Package, deploy, and manage enterprise applications using Microsoft Configuration Manager. • Develop and maintain application deployment packages, task sequences, deployment collections, and automated deployment processes. • Support phased software rollouts, application testing, compatibility validation, and deployment troubleshooting. • Coordinate application deployment activities with technical teams and business stakeholders. Patch Management & Vulnerability Remediation • Plan, execute, and monitor enterprise patch deployment activities. • Administer Software Update Point (SUP) services, WSUS integration, and patch compliance reporting. • Partner with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities across enterprise systems. • Support compliance initiatives aligned with federal security requirements and organizational standards. • Monitor remediation efforts and maintain vulnerability management documentation. Operating System Deployment & Endpoint Security • Perform device imaging, operating system deployments, and enterprise migration activities. • Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 deployment, migration, and lifecycle management initiatives. • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot BitLocker encryption across enterprise devices. • Support endpoint security modernization initiatives, including implementation of security baselines and compliance controls. • Maintain endpoint security configurations in accordance with NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and agency-specific requirements. Technical Support & Stakeholder Engagement • Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support for endpoint management and infrastructure-related issues. • Manage and resolve ServiceNow and JIRA tickets while meeting established service levels. • Collaborate with government stakeholders, Microsoft subject matter experts, cybersecurity personnel, and project teams. • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, deployment records, and system configurations. • Support technical planning sessions, project activities, change management initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Required • U.S. Citizenship. • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting systems administration, endpoint management, cloud technologies, or related technical environments. • Minimum 10 years of professional experience supporting enterprise systems administration or related technical functions. • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) within large enterprise environments. • Demonstrated experience with: - Operating System Deployment (OSD) - Application Packaging and Software Deployment - Patch Management - Endpoint Security Administration - Enterprise Device Management - Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments • Experience administering: - Active Directory - Group Policy - DNS - DHCP - Windows Server • Hands-on experience with: - Software Update Point (SUP) - WSUS Integration - Patch Compliance Reporting - Vulnerability Remediation • Experience implementing and supporting security frameworks and standards including NIST and CIS Benchmarks. • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. • Experience supporting compliance initiatives, security baseline implementation, and remediation activities. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience supporting government stakeholders. • Ability to work an Eastern Standard Time (EST) schedule. Required Certifications • Possession one or more of the following certifications: - Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) - Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - CompTIA Security+ Strongly Preferred • Active Public Trust clearance. • Active Department of Justice (DOJ) Public Trust clearance. • Previous federal clearance experience. • Experience supporting federal government agencies or highly regulated environments. • Experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management strategies. • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory). • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop environments. • AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent cloud certification. • Experience supporting enterprise Zscaler deployments. • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automation frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code concepts. • Experience leading large-scale operating system migrations and modernization initiatives. • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar ITSM platforms. • ITIL Foundation certification. • Experience mentoring junior administrators and providing technical leadership. Work Location Fully remote, with potential travel to federal agency sites, partner locations, or project meetings as required. Clearance / Background Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance. Active Public Trust clearance is strongly preferred. Active DOJ Public Trust clearance is highly desirable. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $65.00 - $120.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
