The S&I team is primarily responsible for HSD's systems, infrastructure and initiatives including the development, management of, and training on HSD's information systems (e.g., eIRB system, website, Sharepoint site), content (e.g., policies, guidance, instructions), business analytics and reporting. These systems and initiatives in turn support HSD staff, the Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), and UW researchers in complying with federal, state, and institutional policies regarding human subjects research. This is essential for HSD's mission of protecting the safety, rights, and welfare of UW human research participants. The primary responsibility of the IEM is to work collaboratively with the HSD leadership team, HSD's cross operational group, and other members of S&I to:(1) identify and prioritize needs, issues, improvements, and enhancements to HSD content
(2) develop and deliver training on new and revised HSD content
(3) manage HSD's website, document libraries, and communications.The focus of the work and deliverables will vary depending on HSD's needs and annual goals. The IEM may also be called upon to support the HSD leadership team in preparing for and managing audits from regulatory agencies.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHSD overall information and education program - 60%
Website and Communication Management - 15%
Learning and content systems management - 10%
Management of eIRB software learning program support - 10%
Cross-unit and other campus initiatives - 5%
o Representing HSD interests and needs.
o Shaping decisions and initiatives to enhance HSD's program.
o Obtaining knowledge, skills, resources useful to HSD's program. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
o Human subjects research review or oversight
o Interaction with human subjects as a research staff person
o Any position involving the application of complex regulatory systems to individuals and work activities. The qualities of the successful candidate will include most or all of the following:

o Frequent free UW shuttles to some (but not all) Seattle locations.
