Traveling Project Manager - Construction

A well-established national general contractor is looking for a Traveling Project Manager to lead ground-up and mid-sized construction projects across the U.S. Title: Project Manager - Construction This is a fully travel-based position You'll take ownership of project administration, document control, subcontractor management, payment applications, and scheduling, while serving as a direct point of contact for owners, trade partners, and internal teams. This opportunity is designed for a detail-oriented, forward-thinking PM who excels in dynamic environments and is committed to delivering projects on time and within budget. Core Responsibilities • Draft and manage subcontracts, payment applications, and project schedules • Oversee day-to-day project administration and document control processes • Uphold safety protocols and quality standards throughout each project • Facilitate and participate in coordination meetings with owners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with trade partners and vendors • Stay ahead of potential issues, addressing challenges before they impact project progress What You'll Bring • 5+ years of hands-on construction experience, and/or a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field • Broad familiarity with multiple building types and trades • A track record of successfully managing mid-sized projects from kickoff to final closeout • Proficiency across industry-standard platforms including Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Office, Outlook, Zoom, MS Teams, AutoCAD (plan reading), and DocuSign • Solid skills in contract negotiation, strategic planning, and problem-solving • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications • Self-sufficient, dependable, and personable- someone who takes full ownership of results Physical & Travel Expectations • Standard desk and computer-based work • Regular job site walks of 1–2 miles, including climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs • Frequent travel to project sites nationwide Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary, travel per diem, comprehensive benefits package, and bonus eligibility.
