**This role is full time Work From Home**
This role will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for applications or systems across business units, focusing specifically on cloud and physical server, storage, and backup. This includes documentation of technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements, partnering with Architects to evaluate new technologies for implementation, while ensuring enterprise infrastructure standards are adhered to.
- Bachelors degree required, Computer Science or related field preferred
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience engineering and operating private cloud solutions
- Experience engineering and operating hosting solutions in Microsoft Azure
- Experience engineering and operating VMware vSphere and vCenter
- Enterprise SAN engineering and operations experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong fundamental understanding of networking, virtual networking, vSAN, UCS, backup technologies, colo data center operations
- The desire and ability to learn Kubernetes.
- Experience with gaining influence with others through building personal relationships and public speaking
- Demonstrated history of achieving technical certifications.
- Operate as the hosting service design owner having accountabilities for all areas of hosting (data center, remote office, cloud).
- Analyze business requirements to determine infrastructure specifications. Provide hosting solution design services to meet those specifications.
- Sponsor project charters to provide funding for hosting lifecycle management efforts and implement new technologies to meet new business needs.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of infrastructure supporting applications.
- Analyze and interpret reports or logs of usage of infrastructure and security audits, recommend actions, and ensure implementation.
- Liaise with IT stakeholders in applications, architecture, and InfoSec to create and maintain standards for respective IT hosting services. Provide oversight to IT Operations to ensure standards are being adhered to.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems and solutions into IT processes.
- Stay informed of emerging infrastructure technologies and evaluates their value to Trustmarks operations. Sponsor project charters to implement warranted technologies.
- Direct vendor partners to provide implementation deliverables including:
- Scope
- Business impact
- Timeline
- Communication plan
- Operational readiness
- Success measures
- Experience with HyperV preferred
- Experience engineering and operating in Azure preferred
- Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, and Powershell preferred
- Experience with Kubernetes preferred.
- Experience or exposure to IBM mainframe, IBMi, and AIX is a plus
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
- Experience working with third party vendor partners to deliver infrastructure build projects
- Azure, VMware, Enterprise Storage certifications preferred
- Creativity and Problem-Solving Skills
The compensation range for this full-time Infrastructure Engineer III role is between $78,690 and $146,138. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
