Job description: Provide direct therapy and consultation services to students identified with disabilities in articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency and or voice disorders.

Conduct screenings and special education evaluations in multidisciplinary evaluation teams to identify eligible students.

Write reports and facilitate IEP meetings.

Participate as members of the MET and IEP team, or other school-based teams to develop interventions for promoting students? academic and behavioral success, IEP goals and objectives and plan of care development.

Completes special education documentation regarding students? therapy, as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations. This includes daily progress notes, Medicaid billing and progress reports.

Coordinate with other involved school personnel in planning and providing support for students with disabilities.

Interpret special education policies, procedures, and guidelines to regular educational personnel.

Assist school staff in developing and implementing accommodations to allow students with speech and language disabilities to be successful within the school setting.

Attend and facilitate professional development.

Coordinate Peer to Peer Program.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Masters? degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

Michigan Department of Education for Speech and Language, or a current Speech and Language Pathologist LARA License.

Working Schedule and Rate of Pay:

40 week per year position (teacher work calendar)

Salary according to master contract
