Veterans Benefits & Elder Care Financial Consultant
Elder Care Financial Planning is a national firm that helps families address the financial challenges of assisted living, home care, nursing home care, and other long-term care expenses.
For more than 23 years, we have helped thousands of families nationwide with elder care financial planning, Veterans Benefits planning, Medicaid planning opportunities, annuities, final expense insurance, and related strategies used to help pay for care.
We are seeking one additional Life & Health licensed Agent to join our team. This is a remote, phone/video-based role working with company-provided leads.

Licensed insurance sales position
Remote position
Paid onboarding/training provided
Commission-based compensation after training
Company-provided leads
No cold calling
No travel required
Position Overview
The Agent will contact company-provided leads, conduct initial consultations, screen for VA Aid & Attendance benefits eligibility, gather financial and family information, document case activity in Salesforce CRM, and help guide families through a consultative planning process.
Our planning team develops case recommendations, and our attorney partner assists with legal implementation when appropriate. The Agent’s role is to build trust with families, gather accurate information, maintain consistent follow-up, present recommendations, and assist with annuity or final expense implementation when appropriate.
Lead Quality and Pipeline Management
Our leads are not raw internet inquiries. Each family has already spoken with a live representative, completed an initial financial screen, and agreed to speak with one of our Agents.
These families are often in the middle of an assisted living or home care transition, so it may take multiple follow-up attempts to connect. New opportunities come in steadily, and the pipeline builds quickly. Success in this role requires disciplined follow-up, careful Salesforce documentation, and the ability to manage families at different stages of the decision-making process.
Responsibilities
Contact company-provided leads and conduct initial consultations.
Screen prospective clients for VA Aid & Attendance benefits eligibility.
Gather detailed financial and family information from prospective clients.
Enter and maintain accurate notes, tasks, and follow-up records in Salesforce CRM.
Work with our internal planning team regarding case strategy and recommendations.
Present planning recommendations and implementation options developed with support from our planning team.
Maintain consistent follow-up with families throughout the planning process.
Coordinate with attorney partners and internal staff during implementation.
Assist clients with the purchase of annuity and final expense insurance products when appropriate.
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position. Client consultations are conducted by phone or video conference. There is no driving to appointments, no territory management, and no seminar selling.
Compensation
Paid onboarding/training is provided.
After onboarding, compensation is commission-based. Agents receive a 50% commission split on eligible annuity and final expense business.
Once established, this is realistically a $100,000 to $200,000+ annual income opportunity.
This is a consultative sales process, not a one-call-close environment. Cases typically take 6 to 12 weeks to move from initial consultation to implementation, and more complex cases may take longer. Income is typically modest during the first several months while the Agent’s pipeline is being built, but successful Agents should begin seeing meaningful income growth as cases move through the process.
After paid onboarding/training, the role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor insurance sales position.
