Veterinary Medical Director — Telemedicine

The Role We’re a small veterinary practice focused on preventive wellness and early disease detection in dogs. We see patients by telemedicine. Licensed vet techs do in-home blood draws and urine collection. A national reference lab runs the panels. Our vet team reviews the results. We work alongside primary care veterinarians, not in place of them. We’re looking for a licensed veterinarian to serve as Medical Director of our professional entity. You’d own the PLLC, set the standard of care, and supervise a 1099 network of associate vets and licensed vet techs across the states where we operate. You’re welcome — but not required — to take clinical work yourself: telemedicine appointments and diagnostic reviews, paid at the same rates as the rest of the network. Administrative work is handled by a separate management company, so your time goes to medicine and oversight, not operations. Responsibilities • Own the PLLC and serve as the licensed practitioner of record • Hire, credential, and supervise 1099 associate vets and licensed vet techs • Review and approve clinical protocols, including bloodwork and urinalysis workflows • Maintain quality of care and handle clinical escalations • Sign off on medical records and treatment recommendations per state law • Optionally see telemedicine patients and review diagnostics at standard 1099 rates Requirements • DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school • Active, unrestricted Florida license in good standing • Willing to obtain reciprocal licensure in other telemedicine-permitting states (licensure fees covered) • 5+ years of clinical experience • Telemedicine experience preferred • Comfortable supervising vets and licensed vet techs in a 1099 model • Active personal malpractice insurance What This Job Is A steady second role for a vet who wants real clinical authority without a full-time commitment. You set the standard of care. We handle everything else. To Apply Send your CV and a short note about your telemedicine experience to [email protected]. Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year License/Certification: • Veterinary License - Florida (Required) • Veterinary License - NY, CA, NJ or AZ (Preferred) Work Location: Remote
