WHO YOU ARETeton Ridge is redefining Western sports and lifestyle — and we need a sharp, strategic legal mind to help us do it.We're looking for a Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs who thrives at the intersection of law, entertainment, and business. This is not a back-office role. You'll sit at the table where deals are shaped, partnerships are forged, and bold ideas become reality — across media, live sporting events, advertising, and brand ventures.You'll lead on commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, M&A activity, and risk management, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a key driver of the company's growth. The ideal candidate brings legal precision without losing sight of the bigger picture: moving fast, protecting the brand, and enabling the business to scale.If you're proactive, commercially minded, and energized by the pace of a company building something entirely new in sports and entertainment — we want to hear from you. This position is eligible for remote work. The expected base salary range for this role is $200,000- 225,000, commensurate with experience and skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., sponsorship/partnership agreements, affiliate agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, licensing), including agreements related to entertainment, media, advertising, and live sporting events.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, obligations, and business strategies.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing) to support business objectives and mitigate risk.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Support corporate governance efforts, including board and shareholder matters, entity management, and corporate filings.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Assist in M&A transactions, including due diligence, transaction documents, and integration efforts.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized legal matters as needed.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Support the development and implementation of internal legal policies, training, and processes</li></ul><h2 style="line-height:1.656;background-color:#ffffff;">WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR</h2><ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">4+ years of relevant legal experience, with extensive experience working with or for a network (traditional, OTT or FAST) and/or a sports team or league.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Solid experience in sports, media and entertainment law, contract negotiation, and general business law.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Strong business acumen with a practical, solution-oriented approach to legal issues.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Business acumen and understanding of financial implications of legal decisions</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ethical and professional conduct. </li></ul><div style="list-style-type:disc;"><div style="list-style-type:disc;">Don’t meet every single requirement?
