Videographer / Video Editor / Driver / Physio needed for EPIC 1 month tour around France!

Apply Now
Do you exist? I'm looking for someone who is qualified in sports massage/physio, decent with a camera and editing skills, basic customer support skills, and a driving license. Why? I'm 35 this year and have set myself a fun challenge of cycling around France in September, following the route of the tour de france route from the year I was born. This will take around a month and I would like to do this to raise money for Macmillan cancer research UK. I would like to create some Youtube videos of the trip to document and inspire. What I need? • Drive my support vehicle each day to follow me and to stop ahead and get footage at cool spots along the way. • Video recording and video editing skills to turn this into some cool videos. (there are lots of bikepacking videos on youtube for info/inspo) • A basic leg, back massage each day to minimise injury etc. Nutrition advice would be handy. • Basic Whatsapp channel support for my business, responding to messages whilst I am on the bike. This is just answering questions or forwarding on to someone else on the team. • A positive mental attitude. What will I provide? You will have my campervan with all costs covered by me. This will also be your accommodation. I will sleep in a separate tent. Food and all this type of stuff will also be covered, we will use the campervan to cook and meal prep etc. You will have access to a laptop and phone Plus 2k cash. You shouldn't need to spend any money unless for personal reasons, what I dont have is camera equipment or a drone, so would appreciate insight on this. What will an average day look like? Get up around 4/5am, and I'll get out on the road on my bike. Get a quick video before leaving and then you'll drive up at some pre determined spots and chill in the campervan to get some footage when I get to each spot (we'll communicate on the phone). There will be some epic views when we are in the mountains and France is generally a very beautiful country. Stop in a local french cafe or (campervan when in the mountains) at some point mid morning for coffee and pain au chocolat and a catch up. Without technical problems we should be finished and ready to set up camp at around 2pm. Most finishes will be in a town or village so we'll put the bike on the back and drive to the campsite. Quick massage on the legs and then chill out at a nice french campsite. We will have the afternoon to go over plans for the next day, do some video editing and do what ever you want to do. I will also have an hour or two of work to do myself on my laptop. Late afternoon/evening - Most campsites will have a pool, tennis table, so eating some good food, chatting to other campers and socialising this should be a really fun adventure. If this all goes well I would like to do some sort of epic ride around new zealand or australia. Who is this ideally suited for??? Someone who obviously has the basic credentials above, an adventurous mindset and a can-do attitude. I'm not looking to break records so this shouldn't really be any kind of stress. You'll be driving a campervan on mountain passes in the alps and pyrenees so need to be a fairly handy driver. Someone who would love to be a part of a month long hands on project and wants to see France. Someone who has a personal story related to Macmillan unit. Someone who is reliable and able make a commitment and stick to it. Someone who has ideas and to use this project to further their experience in these fields Ideally you would not have work commitments in the AM so Someone who can dedicate a whole month to this project, in person, and not need to juggle a full time job (this is why I am offering a lump sum 2k payment for your time). If you believe you can juggle this then I'm prepared to hear you out. Once agreed I would like to meet you and we would set up a schedule e.g fortnightly 1 hour call to keep the project moving forward, that I will pay you for your time as well. If this sounds like an epic adventure you'd like to be a part of please reach out to learn more. Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
