About the position
The Department of Political Science at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a one-year, full-time, non-tenure track visiting assistant teaching professor for academic year 26-27, with the possibility of renewal for a second year, in International Relations or Comparative Politics. The Political Science Department has a strong teaching culture. We especially value candidates who have a strong interest in teaching undergraduates and who are able to implement thoughtful, intentional pedagogies that support the learning of a wide range of students. The teaching load each semester is four courses with three preparations. We ask that instructors also hold regular office hours and are otherwise available to support and engage with students, as appropriate, and participate in a limited amount of departmental service. The successful candidate will teach an introduction to international relations course each semester, in addition to upper level international or comparative politics courses in their areas of expertise, in consultation with the Chair.

Requirements
• Ph.D. in Political Science (ABDs with Master's degrees obtained will be considered).
• Strong interest in teaching undergraduates.
• Ability to implement thoughtful, intentional pedagogies that support the learning of a wide range of students.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Complete employment eligibility verification by the first day of employment.
