2 Hour Learning is establishing a nationwide school network engineered to deliver a full day of education in two concentrated hours through AI. The expansion model must mirror the precision of the educational product. This position is designed to deliver that alignment. You will control the complete lifecycle of new school sites—from unimproved property to operational campus—while constructing the frameworks that make every future launch faster, more efficient, and more reliable.
This is not conventional development work. You are not being hired simply to oversee projects. You are being hired to remove obstacles from the expansion path. That includes rendering binding decisions on site feasibility, intervening directly in permitting and construction challenges, conducting vendor negotiations, and accelerating timelines with intentionality. Simultaneously, you will deconstruct every element of this process into organized, AI-enhanced workflows that minimize manual intervention and sharpen forecast precision with each iteration.

What You Will Be Doing
• Render critical site decisions by confirming zoning compliance, permitting pathways, cost parameters, and timeline viability through structured and AI-enabled evaluation
• Control multiple concurrent school construction projects, directing construction managers, clearing obstacles, and guaranteeing timely, budget-compliant openings
• Produce clear, decision-ready capital project proposals that bring stakeholders into alignment on scope, budget, and execution approach
• Direct vendor selection processes, RFPs, and contract negotiations with emphasis on velocity, quality, and financial discipline
• Break down expansion workflows into discrete work components and construct AI-powered systems that reduce timelines and enhance predictability

• Functioning as a passive status monitor dependent on contractor or partner updates
• Focusing exclusively on a single phase (such as site selection or construction alone) without accountability for the complete result
• Depending on manual, improvised processes that begin from scratch with each new site
• Referring issues upward without directly engaging to resolve permitting, design, or construction obstacles
• Consuming months in stakeholder coordination without producing a definitive decision
VP Of Construction Key Responsibilities
Control the comprehensive expansion of new school sites by delivering operational campuses on consistent timelines while progressively decreasing time, cost, and risk through AI-enabled systems.
Basic Requirements
• Documented experience directing at least one real estate development or construction initiative from site selection to opening with complete accountability
• Experience overseeing multiple simultaneous builds or capital projects with direct ownership of timelines, coordination, and problem resolution
• Deep fluency in zoning regulations, permitting procedures, construction management, and vendor coordination, with capability to engage directly with general contractors, architects, and regulatory authorities
• Proven capacity to make tradeoff determinations across cost, schedule, and feasibility with clear, quantifiable results
• Experience refining or organizing complex operational workflows (such as permitting, design coordination, construction execution)
• Proven ability to decompose complex workflows into structured, repeatable frameworks and refine them progressively
• Track record of deploying tools (AI or other technologies) to eliminate manual tasks, expedite decision-making, or increase execution velocity
• Strong ownership orientation with capacity to function in ambiguous environments and produce tangible outcomes
• Willingness and capacity to travel up to 60% to active school sites throughout the US and maintain on-site presence during critical development and opening phases
• Currently based in the US and authorized to work without visa sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
Experience scaling multi-site development or expansion initiatives
Demonstrated history of enhancing forecast accuracy and compressing delivery timelines across projects

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
