Verification & Validation Engineer – Advanced Nuclear & Safety-Critical Systems

We are partnering with an innovative engineering organization supporting the development of next-generation technologies within the nuclear and safety-critical systems space. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to highly regulated, mission-critical programs where reliability, precision, and system integrity are central to success.
The organization is seeking a Verification & Validation Engineer to support complex system development efforts across the full engineering lifecycle. This role combines requirements-based verification, model-based simulation, hardware testing, and integrated system validation in support of advanced engineering programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform analysis, evaluation, and testing of system development lifecycle deliverables
• Review requirements specifications, traceability, and verification coverage
• Evaluate design verification outputs and ensure adequacy of supporting evidence
• Develop and execute test procedures at element, module, and system levels
• Support simulation and model-based testing activities within MATLAB/Simulink environments
• Execute module and integrated system testing using lab equipment, I/O simulation, and test harnesses
• Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and quality teams to ensure compliance with rigorous engineering and quality standards
• Support technical reporting, issue resolution, and project milestone execution
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of Verification & Validation or systems testing experience
• Experience with requirements-based development and traceability methodologies
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, and model-based development approaches
• Hands-on experience with electronics lab equipment and integrated system testing
• Background in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, aerospace, defense, industrial controls, or other safety-critical industries preferred
