Job description: Truss Designer

Our company is growing! We are looking for a self-motivated truss designe that has experience using Mitek Sapphire Management to work alongside us as we move into new markets. Qualified candidates will preferably have 3+ years truss experience. Must be able to demonstrate a desire to learn and grow in the position to help us as we continue to provide a superior quality product and a high level of customer service. We are considering qualified remote or onsite candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Produces designs for floors and roof trusses by providing layouts and takeoffs for projects
- Strong blueprint reading ability
- Solid understanding of load conditions and code requirements as they relate to truss design
- Work closely with Outside Sales and Production to ensure a quality product and guarantee we meet our customers schedule
- Working knowledge of MiTek truss design software is strongly preferred
- Detail oriented and strong organization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, including customers, peers, and management
- Excellent math skills: fractions, geometry, and trigonometry
- Self-managing; works well with minimal supervision
- Microsoft Office applications
