Job Description Position Summary: The Wildland Fire Billing Specialist supports the financial operations of the wildland fire program by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, reimbursement packets, and financial records for fire-related activities. This non-student hourly position is responsible for billing, accounts payable and receivable functions, recordkeeping, and reporting to support compliance, expenditure tracking, and operational funding. Full Consideration Date: Friday, July 10, 2026 Brief Work Unit Description: https://csfs.colostate.edu/ Essential Job Duties: Processing fire reimbursement/billing and tracking CSFS fire travel and calculations CSFS fire payroll and policy administration Conditions of Employment: Primarily office/remote computer-based work Reliable internet access for remote work Supervision: Position does not supervise Minimum Qualifications: a combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in billing, accounts payable/receivable, financial recordkeeping, or administrative finance support. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using CSU Kuali Financial System, CDPS fire billing portal, Workday (preferred), and Microsoft Excel at a high functioning level. Experience working in public sector finance, wildland fire operations, or emergency management. Knowledge of NIMS/ICS principles and federal wildland fire reimbursement processes.
