**Key Responsibilities**
As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing technical support to content/external teams in regard to use of content tools, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize our tools and platforms.
* Creating reference materials and providing training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and minimizing downtime.
* Solving and debugging possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Escalating more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and working with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
* Advocating for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* Partnering with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
* Guiding or leading cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our content teams have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
* Exemplifying reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for our team and our customers.
**Essential Skills and Abilities**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* The ability to read and understand C# code, ensuring you can effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Good written and verbal communication skills, including working with external partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
* A positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
* Excellent organizational skills, enabling you to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously and meet deadlines.

**Education and Experience**
We're looking for individuals with:
* A Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in software development and technical problem-solving.
* Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, ensuring you can effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Unity 3D game and tool development experience, a plus, as we're constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in content creation.
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software, ensuring you can effectively track and resolve issues.
* iOS and Android mobile development experience, a plus, as we're constantly innovating and expanding our platform capabilities.
* 5 years experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, demonstrating your ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work**
Our core hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and collaborations during this time. We're a flexible and adaptable team, and we're open to discussing flexible work arrangements that meet your needs and preferences.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
The overall market range for roles in this area of arenaflex is typically $150,000 – 325,000.
