**Responsibilities**
As a Field Operations Crew Member, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with pipeline installation and maintenance, including:
* Operating backhoes, trenchers, cranes, and jackhammers to install and maintain pipelines
* Making taps, fusing plastic pipe, and performing maintenance on equipment
* Setting up for jobs, ensuring tools and equipment are available
* Installing leak clamps, laying out lines, cutting, threading, and re-wrapping pipes
* Performing site excavation, traffic control, and locating pipelines
* Assisting with purges, retiring services, and relocating service lines
* Changing stop-cocks and performing other duties as assigned and required
**Required Qualifications**
* High School/GED degree
* Valid Class A CDL
* Three (3) or more years of experience involving excavations, operating backhoes, and excavators
* Advanced knowledge and use of construction tools and/or construction equipment
* Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hand tools, and effective interpersonal skills
* Safety awareness, working conditions, and ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Three (3) or more years of experience in pipeline installation and maintenance
* Knowledge of hand tools, effective interpersonal skills, and safety awareness
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 100 lbs, and perform manual dexterity tasks
* Good hearing, keen eyesight, and good sense of smell
* Ability to use SCBA when responding to gas leaks
* Prior related experience or completion of an accredited training program
**Skills and Competencies**
* Ability to operate heavy machinery, including backhoes, trenchers, cranes, and jackhammers
* Knowledge of construction tools and equipment, including hand tools, brushes, grinders, and shovels
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
