**Job Summary**
As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses that support our business goals and objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement data infrastructure that meets the needs of our business stakeholders. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud-based platforms, and big data technologies will enable us to make data-driven decisions and drive business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses that support business goals and objectives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement data infrastructure
* Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data quality standards
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through data validation, data cleansing, and data encryption
* Investigate and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and big data
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data engineering
* Mentor and guide junior team members in data engineering and big data technologies
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes
* Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant languages
* Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, PySpark)
* Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
* Experience with data modeling, data governance, and data quality standards
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark
* Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
* Experience with data security and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR)
* Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
