**About arenaflex's Client Systems Team**
The Client Systems team at arenaflex is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with our business leaders and other stakeholders to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain complex Java-based applications, including backend systems, APIs, and microservices
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
* Work with business leaders and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables
* Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure code
* Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices are followed
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve arenaflex's products and services
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on backend systems and APIs
* Strong understanding of Java programming language, including Java 8 and later versions
* Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate
* Knowledge of database design and data modeling, including relational and NoSQL databases
* Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
* Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker
* Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Kubernetes
* Familiarity with cloud-based services, such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
* Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
* Experience with testing frameworks and tools, such as JUnit or TestNG

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

* Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies
