**Key Responsibilities:**
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
• Receiving and resolving up to 60 calls daily in a fun, fast-paced, metric-driven environment
• Interacting directly via phone with patients, affiliate partners, payers, and healthcare providers
• Collecting payments and/or providing guidance on payment options for outstanding balances
• Updating accounts with new or corrected information; requesting itemized statements &/or re-billing claims when appropriate
• Explaining medical bills and identifying deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and other patient financial responsibilities
• Utilizing analytical thinking for account research and reconciliation
• Managing all interactions in a positive, caring manner
• Performing specialized tasks as assigned by the manager and/or supervisor
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' healthcare experience, preferably 2 years of medical billing and direct patient contact in a call center environment with exposure to insurance billing and medical terminology
• Technical proficiency
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Professional maturity and ability to exercise sound judgment
• Written/verbal fluency in both English and Spanish (preferred)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Experience working in a healthcare call center environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in multiple software applications, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
