**Role Overview**
As a Medical Intake/Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in our Utilization Review Department, serving as the first point of contact for our patients and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include gathering crucial intake information, establishing electronic patient files, and assisting with the organization and dissemination of certification correspondence.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Respond to inquiries on the Utilization Review line, directing calls to the appropriate team members and retrieving voicemail messages for the nursing staff.
* Collect and document demographic information to create and maintain accurate patient files.
* Print, mail, fax, and copy correspondence as required.
* Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
* Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient patient care.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to arenaflex's strict confidentiality and data protection policies.
* Develop and implement effective solutions to improve patient satisfaction and experience.
**Qualifications**
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with coursework in computers, medical terminology, data entry, word processing, and secretarial training.
* Experience: A minimum of one year of professional office experience is required, with preference for candidates who have worked in a healthcare setting.
* Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and data entry within databases is essential. Familiarity with word processing and multi-line telephone systems is advantageous. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply but it is not a requirement.
* Personal Attributes: Candidates should possess a courteous and helpful telephone demeanor, strong proofreading capabilities, and excellent data entry skills. The ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial, along with a solid understanding of customer service.

* Full-Time Schedule: Enjoy a balanced work-life with a Monday to Friday schedule (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM) without the need for weekend or night shifts.
