Berri Organics is one of the fastest-growing beverage brands in natural CPG, making award-winning, plant-based electrolyte drinks sold nationwide. The Internal Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in allowing the organization to run smoothly by managing systems, automations, and workflows, leading special projects, and overseeing supply-chain planning and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain internal systems, processes and workflows
- Lead strategic special projects and company initiatives, such as regulatory and label compliance in international countries and sourcing new co-packing facilities in the U.S
- Build and maintain rolling demand forecasts and supply plans
- Manage raw materials purchases and production schedules
- Handle retail and eComm purchase order entry, routing, and fulfillment oversight
- Manage customer service operations
- Support organic certification, regulatory compliance, quality control and safety of products and services
- Support finance operations for invoicing, inventory valuation, and reporting to the Board of Directors
- Support ERP System and network of 3PL partners, suppliers, co-packers, and warehouses
- Lead cross-functional special projects, such as supply chain buildout of new innovation, from the CEO and from the President
- Support continued gross margin improvement
Skills
- 4–7+ years in Operations/Supply Chain/Systems roles in CPG or startups
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Shopify/Amazon, 3PL portals, and automation tools
- Advanced Excel/Sheets skills and familiarity with BI dashboards
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving ability
- Key leadership characteristics: integrity, leadership/drive for results, collaborative, flexible, strong communicator, self-motivated
- Must be able to lead projects and manage cross-functionally key deliverables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Candidate must be a proficient user in POWERPOINT, WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK
- Startup experience; Comfortable working with a lean team; scrappy, entrepreneurial mentality (strong preference for early-stage, high growth brands versus larger CPG)
