Aligned Labs is looking to expand its team of expert consultants with 20 legal scholars for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research. The role involves designing complex legal problems for AI models and assessing AI-generated reasoning.
Responsibilities
- Designing legal problems that today's leading AI models can't solve
- Creating and verifying complex questions in your area of expertise
- Assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained legal scholar
Skills
- Fluent English reading and writing skills
- JD, PhD, or SJD in law or a closely related field
- Actively involved in legal scholarship with publications in law reviews or peer-reviewed journals within the last 2 years
- Law faculty, fellows, and visiting assistant professors (VAPs) at law schools or universities
- Postdoctoral researchers and research scholars at legal institutes, centers, or think tanks
- Independent or affiliated legal scholars with an active publication record
