Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Video Research Associate to support their research efforts for campaigns. The role involves identifying and cataloging video assets, ensuring access for various departments, and analyzing media trends.
Responsibilities
- Record, clip and catalog media segments for rapid response needs and for long-term research projects
- Research and analyze trends in local and national news as well as in raw video content
- Compile video or audio-based clips for media coverage reports
- Additional specific research responsibilities, as directed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of current events relating to Congress, the White House, the Republican Party, and upcoming campaign cycles, with the ability to keep up with the 24-hour news cycle
- Basic understanding of video files and formats, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tech-based databases
- Ability to work independently, ask questions, remain responsive, and keep open lines of communication in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with media monitoring services and clipping tools strongly preferred (including but not limited to LexisNexis, SnapStream, TVEyes, and Snagit)
