**Responsibilities**
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative on our remote team, you'll be responsible for:
* Fielding customer inquiries related to healthcare services, using your expertise and creativity to respond to varying questions, issues, and concerns.
* Handling inbound calls from medical professionals, using medical terminology to request and verify benefits, and providing support and guidance as needed.
* Responding to all customer inquiries with excellence, active listening, and a customer-centric approach.
* Working with confidential customer information and treating it with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
* Resolving issues on the first call by being proactive and taking ownership of customer concerns.
* Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, using clear and concise language to ensure understanding.
* Providing support for healthcare providers, including answering questions, resolving issues, and offering guidance on benefits and services.
* Researching benefit information as needed to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
* Handling situations that require adaptation of response or extensive research, using your problem-solving skills to find creative solutions.
* Accurately documenting and maintaining all interactions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with our team.
* Responding to requests for assistance and/or possible processing payments, using your technical skills to navigate our systems and processes.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* The ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment, using your own equipment and internet connection.
* At least 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
* The ability to type 25 words per minute, using your keyboard and computer with ease.
* Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
* The ability to navigate Windows operating systems and desktop computer systems with ease.
* Organization and work prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
**Nice-to-Haves**
While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:
* Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and benefits.
* Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology platforms.
* Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Healthcare Customer Service Representative (CHCSR).
* Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak different languages.
