**Responsibilities:**
As a Patient Registration Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive and compassionate experience throughout the registration process
* Collecting and verifying patient information, insurance details, and other relevant data in a timely and accurate manner
* Working efficiently across multiple screens, programs, and systems to input data and manage patient registration
* Collaborating with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless registration processes and address any emergent clinical care needs
* Building rapport with patients and families, addressing their concerns, fears, and questions with empathy and compassion
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection protocols
* Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in patient registration and healthcare support
**Requirements:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Excellent customer service experience, with a strong focus on empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution
* Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
* Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including day, evening, and overnight shifts, as well as rotating on-call schedules
* Ability to work in a hospital/lab environment, with exposure to illness and injuries
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous experience in healthcare or patient registration
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
* Certification in medical terminology or a related field
* Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds
