The Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect that has been wreaking havoc on Pennsylvania's ecosystem and economy. arenaflex has taken a proactive approach to addressing this issue by launching the Spotted Lanternfly Response and Education Initiative. **Job Summary**
As a Part-Time Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in our SLF Response and Education Initiative. You will serve as the first point of contact for external stakeholders, providing information and resources to those interested in reporting a SLF sighting or seeking additional information. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Serve as the first-line point of contact for external stakeholders, responding to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries about the SLF
* Provide accurate and timely information to concerned citizens, including resources for reporting SLF sightings and managing infestations
* Refer customers to other departments or units as needed, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of issues
* Operate various equipment and computer systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Assist with required reporting to the College SLF team, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and/or United States Department of Agriculture
* Ensure the quality of all call center services, meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction standards
* Develop working-level knowledge of the SLF, including its life cycle, habits, and impact on the ecosystem
* Collaborate with the College SLF call center manager to meet stakeholder needs and develop effective strategies for managing the infestation
**Essential Qualifications**
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clientele
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and operate other computer systems as needed
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of calls and inquiries
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues effectively
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in customer service, call center, sales, client management, information technology, or a related field
* Knowledge of basic entomology, including the life cycle and habits of the SLF
* Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
* Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment
