We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ads Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you'll play a critical role in establishing and scaling multiple aspects of our growing ads business, including pricing, customer incentives, order management, contract support, and advertiser agency partnership management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide revenue recognition guidance, including technical memo preparation (in partnership with the Technical Accounting team), for new products, features, and pricing changes introduced as part of arenaflex's ads business.
* Act as primary Revenue Accounting point of contact in the contract negotiation and execution of US and/or Global revenue partnerships with large US brands and agencies (often referred to as "upfront" contract commitments).
* Partner with the Technical Accounting team to prepare memos for such contracts or any "non-standard" offerings.
* Operate in a cross-functional working group to determine which customer incentives should be awarded to incentivize customer behavior (including added value credits, discounts, and prepayments) and which customer remediation efforts should be provided based on product or delivery errors (including makegood, credits, etc.).
* Based on these decisions, operate as the Revenue Accounting POC in the implementation of, user testing for, and ongoing assessment of changes to arenaflex's ad infrastructure (including its CRM tool and order management system (OMS)), required as a result of customer incentives.
* Ensure updates to rate cards, pricing policies, and/or flat fee prices impacting new products/ features are reflected in both upstream and downstream system(s).
* Liaise with Sales, Sales Ops, Product, and Engineering to oversee repository of contractual terms, incentive arrangements, and customer offerings to ensure items are captured in relevant systems and revenue is recognized accurately and completely.
* Understand and analyze relevant ads revenue drivers and the impact on internally and externally reported business metrics.
* Collaborate with our international finance and international tax teams to bridge US GAAP and Statutory/Local reporting requirements.
* Drive ongoing operational process improvements along with Sales Ops, infrastructure engineering, Pricing Team, and Workday ERP teams.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 5 years of prior accounting experience
* Experience working at an advertising technology, media company, and/or Ad Agency/HoldCo
* Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
* Prior Deal Desk type work, reviewing complex revenue contracts and thinking through both technical and operational accounting solutions
* Experience reviewing and accounting for customer ad credits/ bonus media (often referred to as Added Value or Makegoods)
* Experience with CRM and/or OMS
* Experience automating or scaling revenue-related workstreams
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with Workday Financials or other cloud-based ERP systems
* Familiarity with Netflix's culture and values

**Compensation and Perks:**
* arenaflex offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $240,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
