**Job Summary**
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our Laboratory Billing Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, data entry, and medical record reconciliation. **Responsibilities**
As a Temporary Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Primarily data entry of Laboratory Requisitions, insurance verification, and medical record reconciliation
* Providing quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
* Resolving lab orders and addressing customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Accurately and completely obtaining required information in the verification process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, and diagnosis codes
* Order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within the scope of the role
* High volume of data entry within the computerized EPIC EMR system
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent
* One year of healthcare experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting
* Experience with medical insurance, specifically Laboratory registration and insurance verification
* EPIC EMR experience is preferred
* Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Must be available for hire within two weeks
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience in a customer service or billing role
* Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
* Experience with EPIC EMR system
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
