You'll collaborate with our team to ensure seamless operations, customer satisfaction, and exceptional service delivery. Our operations team is dedicated to providing an equitable work environment that is vital to our success. **Key Responsibilities** As a Data Center Customer Operations Engineer Intern, your key responsibilities will include: * **Installations (Server/Network/Cross Connect Cable)** + Racks and stacks customer equipment + Installs intra-cage fiber tray, ladder rack, customer equipment, and cabinets + Infrastructure installs to include whalebone cable management, public fiber tray systems, carrier ladder rack, AC/DC power trays, security trays, and cash mesh + Installs and tests advanced cross-connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.) + Installs and tests Equinix Link cross-connects (T1, DS3, OC3-48, Eth, GigE, 10Gig) * **Testing/Troubleshooting** + Supports semi-routine standard operating testing and standard operating installations of customer assets + Supports standard operating procedures of layer 1 cross-connect certification testing * **Customer Management** + Supports customer satisfaction with timely adherence to semi-routine execution order requirements + Delivers a high level of service and an excellent customer experience when interfacing with customers + Provides support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations, following standard operating procedure guidelines + Supports customers on-site by through access control and escorting services * **Training** + Completes all assigned training on Documentation/Reporting in a timely manner **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, computer science, or a related field) * Strong understanding of data center operations, networking, and infrastructure * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in data center operations, networking, or infrastructure * Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, etc.) * Knowledge of cloud computing and enterprise connectivity * Experience with customer service and support * Certification in a relevant field (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate: * Strong technical skills in data center operations, networking, and infrastructure * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Data Center Customer Operations Engineer Intern at arenaflex, you'll have opportunities to: * Develop your skills and knowledge in data center operations, networking, and infrastructure * Collaborate with our team to deliver best-in-class service to our data center customers * Gain experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Develop your problem-solving and analytical skills * Learn from experienced professionals in the industry * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to providing a work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable.
